Meteorite Pendant - Aletai

Meteorite Pendant - Aletai
Location: Xinjiang, Uyghur Autonomous Region, China
Size: 1.4 ×0.73 × 0.1 inches
This pendant is made up of a small slice of the meteorite showing the Widmanstätten patterns (crystal structure) and is set in a stainless steel pendant and covered in a clear polymer to prevent tarnishing and rust.
The Aletai meteorite, previously also known as the Armanty meteorite or Xinjiang meteorite, is one of the largest known iron meteorites, classified as a coarse octahedrite in chemical group IIIE-an. The original mass was found in 1898 with additional finds in 2011. There are only 16 IIIE-an meteorites on record.
At the present time I have multiple pendants and can add more to the website if desired.
