This specimen has nice poker chip shaped Calcite crystals on a Goethite matrix that has been sawn on the bottom. This is a real nice example for the price and would make an excellent addition to your collection.
Calcite is a carbonate mineral and is the principal constituent of limestone and marble. It occurs in many shapes, sizes and colors making it a staple of many mineral collections. In fact there are many collectors that only collect calcites.
