While these pieces cost more than those from Brazil they are very gemmy and if you take a small flashlight to the emeralds they really light up. They are very showy and while the crystals do not have a very defined form due to the way they grew there is no doubt when you are holding this piece that those are emerald crystals. I have never carried pieces this nice that did not cost a small fortune. PLEASE NOTE: The pictures with a flashlight are just representative pictures of what the pieces look like with a backlit flashlight.
Emerald is a gemstone and a variety of the mineral beryl colored green by trace amounts of chromium. Most emeralds are highly included and therefore cut emeralds are graded based under no magnification. Emeralds have been mined for over 3,500 years. Emerald is the traditional birthstone for May.
