Celestine or Celestite is a mineral consisting of strontium sulfate and is a member of the Barite (Baryte) group. It is a fairly heavy mineral and right now the majority of specimens are coming out of Madagascar.
This piece has a very nice main crystal that is in great condition. The areas that look like damage is actually stepped crystal growth. You usually don’t see pieces like this from Madagascar.
