Garnet is January’s birthstone

This is an interesting example of Andradite (Var: Melanite) garnet that has the center of the crystal faces two toned. Please note that there is rubbing on the crystal edges due to the way most specimens are sold from the miners just thrown in large barrels and not protected. I pulled out the best examples that I was able to get at a reasonable price.
