Earth’s Hidden Treasures® is a mineral, fossil and meteorite business that began in 1994, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. It grew out of a passion to collect rocks, minerals and fossils - ‘hidden treasures’ - that nature has produced in an amazing array of formations, colors, shapes and sizes. When we moved to Illinois in 2002, our business came with us. We continuously seek out the most reasonably priced, quality specimens for our customers. We have over 1,000 specimens at each of the two antique malls (East State Antique Mall in Rockford & Volo Antique Mall in Volo) in northern Illinois. We participate annually as vendors in several Rock and Gem shows in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin, and now offer our quality specimens for sale online. We have over 100,000 specimens, most priced under $50.

Gibeon meteorites are composed of iron, nickel and small amounts of cobalt and classified as a fine octahedrite iron meteorite. The strewnfield for Gibeon meteorites is perhaps the largest in the world. Masses of this iron meteorite both large and small have been found and total approximately 26 tons. This piece has been cut and etched so you can see the patter. It also has a part of the outer crust as well.
