Earth’s Hidden Treasures® is a mineral, fossil and meteorite business that began in 1994, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. It grew out of a passion to collect rocks, minerals and fossils - ‘hidden treasures’ - that nature has produced in an amazing array of formations, colors, shapes and sizes. When we moved to Illinois in 2002, our business came with us. We continuously seek out the most reasonably priced, quality specimens for our customers. We participate annually as vendors in several Rock and Gem shows in Georgia and Tennessee and now offer our quality specimens for sale online as we have time. We have over 100,000 specimens, most priced under $50.

Ruby is July’s Birthstone
This 1.67 inch sphere of Ruby crystals in Fuchsite makes a great contrast. Because of the very different hardness of these two minerals the sphere is not perfectly round upon very close inspection but is not noticeable from a distance.
Ruby hardness of 9 — Fuchsite hardness of 2-3
