Turquoise Crystals - Virginia - RARE
Turquoise Crystals - Virginia - RARE
Bishop Mine, Lynch Station, Campbell Co., Virginia, USA
While Turquoise itself is not rare, good crystals are still considered very rare. This mine was operated from 1868 to 1945. Much of the material was weathered and the true turquoise color was not present in most crystals so these pieces tend to be hard to come by an very expensive. I was lucky to pick up a small lot of specimens at a low price and am passing the savings off to you. While there was a not a lot of room when the crystals grew there are some nice ones on this inexpensive piece that I probably should be selling for a lot more. There are small groups of turquoise scattered throughout and with some preparation and clean up may be some nice finds on this piece.
