If you like miniature sized phantoms then you will love this piece. The pictures don’t show the phantoms well but trust me this piece is nice. There are three layers of growth (two phantoms in each crystal with the phantoms being the dogtooth crystal habitat. The phantoms show up well as after each crystal growth period micro Chalcopyrite crystals grew.
Calcite is a carbonate mineral and is the principal constituent of limestone and marble. It occurs in many shapes, sizes and colors making it a staple of many mineral collections. In fact there are many collectors that only collect calcites.
