Ammonites are the fossilized remains of an extinct squid-like animal with an external chambered shell.
The mineral composition is calcite that has replaced the shell over time. These have been cut and polished to bring out their color and make great little gifts or can be used for jewelry. The price is for all eight pieces that you see in the picture.
Size: Largest is just over an inch by 0.15 inches in height.
