Avery nice specimen of fossilized ivory that that has been replaced by minerals so it is a lot darker and heavier than most specimens of ivory tusks. One end has been cut to show the unbelievable pattern. While I can often get mammoth ivory from Alaska or Siberia this piece is very different and a nice addition to any collection.
