Adamite - Mexico
Location: Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Mapimí Municipality, Durango, Mexico
This piece has the wheat sheaf formation that you don’t see all the time. It does Fluoresce mainly under Shortwave but I was having a hard time photographing it. has the more uncommon elongated bipyramidal crystals. This is a very affordable sample of Wulfenite that shows this less common crystal shape.
Size: 2.38 x 1.95 x 1.01 inches
Adamite is a secondary mineral in the oxidized zone of zinc and arsenic bearing hydrothermal mineral deposits and is a favorite among mineral collectors.
