While there are a lot of lower end pieces this one was pulled from hundreds that I looked at. This one is very three dimensional and is very affordable. The color is good and you can see where it gets the nickname “Grape Agate” as it looks just like a batch of purple grapes.
Chalcedony is a general word for all varieties of quartz that are made of microscopic or submicroscopic crystals or microcrystalline varieties of quartz. Some examples of Chalcedony the types of agates, jaspers, chert, onyx, chrysoprase, etc..
